Thanksgiving is a mere four days away. Are you ready? Or, are you running around like a lunatic, frantically trying to pull it all together? Whether you’re cool, calm and collected or a big pile of nervous, quivering mush, here’s a list of tried and true Thanksgiving recipes from the SGCC archives that I hope will help make your holiday a little tastier, if not easier. Maybe you’ll find one or two new dishes to grace your Thanksgiving table this year.
Apple-Maple Acorn Squash Puree
Bacon Pecan Brussels Sprouts Sauté
Cornbread, Sausage and Apple Stuffing
Gingery Pumpkin Caramel-Cheese Pie
Enjoy!

No T-day stress for me this year because this time I’m not hosting it. The dinner has just become too big and my apartment is too small and while I love the cooking, it has become a logistical nightmare and the cleanup is sheer hell. I’m just making a few things to take to my mother’s boyfriend’s house.
Your spread looks wonderful. Your stuffing link brought a smile to my face. I have my own recipe for cornbread, sausage and apple stuffing that I did for the past two years. I love it way more than oyster (for obvious reasons). I love that flavor combo. I can’t have it this year because Mom’s boyfriend’s daughter is doing the cooking and she’s a vegetarian. In fact, I’m making the turkey!

Set a place for me. I’m on my way! I’ll pass on the candied sweet potatoes if I can have second on the oyster stuffing.
