I really have a hard time waiting for things to cool. Especially baked things… nothing beats freshly baked bread still warm from the oven even if the recipe says to let it cool for several hours.

Oh this has happened to me so many times. It’s such a bummer isn’t it.
I usually just then serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla on top…it’s literally a crumble then.

Still looks yummy to me! I say, spoon the pieces into a bowl, top it with vanilla ice cream and serve it with spoons. If anyone scoffs, they don’t get any!
