Happy 2010!

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Well here we are again, at the end of yet another year.  Where does the time go!  It seems as though it was just twelve minutes ago and not twelve months ago that I was sitting here writing my New Years post for 2009.  I must admit that my mood was a little more upbeat then than it is now.  Although some wonderful doors have opened for me, this past year has really worn me down. Maybe I’m just getting old and tired. Or maybe, I’m finally absorbing that general feeling of malaise that has been swirling around the atmosphere for the past few years.  Whatever the reason, I’m trying to shake it off and look toward this new year with renewed hope and the promise of new adventures to conquer.

To all of my fellow bloggers, loyal readers, dear friends and lurkers, I wish you the absolute best in the coming year.  May you all be filled to the brim with happiness, love, health, peace and prosperity!

And, what New Year’s post would be complete without a “Best Of” list?   Here’s mine.   read more >>

TWD: Lemon Sables

Tuesday, December 8, 200925 Comments

I call this week’s TWD recipe the Clark Kent of cookies.  These sables appear to be unassuming little wallflowers of a cookie.  Yet, one bite is all it takes to realize that they are quite special.  Sables are basically a butter cookie.  While they are sumptuously rich and buttery, …
