My aunt & fam went on a cruise the first Christmas after my uncle's death (which was on Xmas eve). I hope that it is refreshing to get away for the holiday, and of course, I am sorry that your dad cannot be there with you. Have a wonderful trip!

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for all of your good wishes and kind words of support. We are in St. Lucia today, and it is beautiful! I’ll be off to do some shopping therapy in a few minutes. The cruise is lovely, but I have to report that the food sux! Not even worth taking pictures of. I’ll fill you all in when I have more time.

Thanksgiving was my Dad’s favorite holiday to host and it’s not been the same since he left us over 7 years ago.
